Prison Ministry India

Welcome to Prison Ministry India.

Prison Ministry India is a National Voluntary Organization, recognized by the CBCI to work for the release, renewal and rehabilitation of prisoners as well as women in moral distress. PMI believes that every prisoner has an ardent love and desire and a right to change and lead a normal life like any other citizen. We also believe that the society too has its responsibility towards these prisoners and their families. But in reality, it is found that the society is not prepared to accept the prisoners but condemns them saying, “Once a criminal, always a criminal”. At the same time the prisoner on his/ her own also not equipped to face the challenges of the society. This is where the PMI comes in and takes these prisoners into its fold, inculcates in them a desire to change, renew their lives, and rehabilitate them. We try to give them back to their families and ultimately to the society. PMI is in its 25th year of its origin and 15th year of its national co-ordination. So many activities are going on around the country for the betterment of these unwanted brethren.
